Planned maintenance to hazardous trees in Booloumba Creek camping and day use areas

This alert applies to the following parks:

Arborist work to hazardous trees including tree removal and branch trimming will occur from 24 May 2017 to 2 June 2017.

As a result, heavy machines and chainsaw noise may be experienced during working hours.

The following areas will be temporarily closed for periods of the closure:

  • Booloumba Creek camping areas 1, 3 and 4 individual sites
  • Booloumba Creek day use area

Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.

Alternate facilities are available at Charlie Moreland camping area in Imbil State Forest, or Peach Trees camping area in Jimna State Forest.

To apply for a refund or camping credit, contact camping support at qpws@npsr.qld.gov.au. Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
