Marketing and Sponsorship, Mission Beach

Wednesday18 October 2017

5:30pm–8:30pm

Part of the Building Active Communities Workshops program.

Marketing is about communicating information about your club’s activities and facilities to attract new members, volunteers and sponsors. Every time you speak about your club, distribute a promotional flyer, place an advertisement in the local newspaper, establish a website or open your doors to new members you are marketing your club.

Many clubs depend on income and support from sponsors and could not survive without this type of partnership – and it works both ways. Businesses like to be associated with sports clubs and players. It helps build their reputation within the community and generates goodwill. This workshop explores the benefits of a sound marketing strategy and provides tips for securing that vital sponsorship.
