Strategic Planning, Tewantin

Tuesday3 October 2017

6:00pm–9:00pm

Part of the Building Active Communities Workshops program.

Being involved in an organisation’s management team can be chaotic at times. It’s easy to get sucked into the day-to-day operations required to keep things running smoothly without ever finding time for planning. However, strategic planning is critical to success. Simply put, a strategic plan is the formalised road map that describes how your organisation will continue to move forward, be sustainable and achieve goals. Strategic planning doesn’t need to be a complex task and shouldn’t result in a lengthy document that just sits on the shelf. Rather, a strategic plan should be a guiding management tool that helps your organisation do a better job because the plan focuses the energy, resources and time of everyone in the organisation in the same direction. This workshop covers key steps for strategic planning, provides user-friendly templates, navigates through planning terminology and components, and eliminates confusion between operation and strategic plans while guiding you through the planning process.
